A Place of Peace: How The Gospel Mission helped Silas find stability, purpose, and hope.

“In my adult years, I’ve done a lot of traveling, and I can say from experience that life is truly a rollercoaster.

My mother, God rest her soul, taught me the Word of God from a young age, so I have always been the odd one out. Throughout all of my travels, peace has been an extremely rare thing to possess. That has been difficult for me to accept as someone who works hard and pitches in for whatever community I am part of.

Here at The Gospel Mission, I’ve found not only an opportunity to right some wrongs from my past, but I’ve also found peace in the process of doing so. I’ve been able to do this while still pitching in to help others. My efforts are appreciated, and that support is reciprocated.

The Gospel Mission has provided me with stability and helped meet my basic needs while placing me in a location where I can walk and take care of things independently.
